I have been into the music of Django Reinhardt since the '70's, but have only recently discovered some of the technical secrets of the sound- playing with a huge pick, lots of downstrokes, etc. I met up with Stephane Wrembel in 2002 and played a few gigs with him, and generally learned a lot from him.
Free Django solo on 1947 Anniversary Song mp3 solo .pdf file
I tried to tab it in a logical fashion that would make sense as Django MAY have played it- but as always, tablature is suspect, and subject to interpretation. The pitches and rhythms are accurate. I used The Amazing Slow Downer software (www.ronimusic.com) to bring the solo down to a more manageable tempo. Have fun and feel free to send comments.
