I have recorded this waltz three times; on Beacon Hillbillies first East Side Digital CD "Duffield Station", featuring John Whelan on accordion; on the Green Linnet "Celtic Fiddle Festival" featuring Kevin Burke, Johnny Cunningham and Christian LeMaitre in a 3-fiddles-plus-guitar arrangement; and on my solo Green Linnet CD "Upslide" with Fiddle Fever's Evan Stover on viola. All 3 versions are at www.tunes.com.
Here is an immediately viewable GIF file (see the link below for a much better printable .eps file via .pdf format)
It's a simple melody with chords that move through a few different key centers; I just 'heard it' this way. The chords add a sense of motion through the piece that gives the melody a different flow than it has unaccompanied.
I previously posted this piece without tab, but had enough requests that I caved in- the tablature is for mandolin.
The chord symbols represent what I am hearing; I don't always play the same voicings. I wrote tab chords below the lead sheet, for guitar and mandolin, for those who might like to try them.
You can also download the music in the Abode Acrobat .pdf format, for both Mac and Windows. Free download of the Reader from Adobe:
